Where could your practice be losing ground?

Ten questions about the work between a visit and a payment. Get an instant view of where to look next, without sharing contact details.

Private by design. Answers stay in this page and disappear when you leave. Nothing is sent or saved.

Choose one answer for each question. “Not sure” is a useful answer, too.

01Do you know whether your denial rate is improving?

Think about the trend, not just this week’s claim count.

02Are balances over 90 days reviewed with a next action?

A balance on a report needs an owner and a follow-up date.

03Is coverage checked at each patient check-in?

Include changes that may have happened since the last visit.

04Can you confirm that each provider’s enrollment is current?

Consider provider additions, locations, and renewal dates.

05Are payments posted and reconciled without a growing backlog?

Check whether deposits and remittance records agree.

06Can you explain what is holding up collections from your reports?

A useful report should tell you where to act.

07Could billing work continue if a key staff member were out?

Think about documented steps, access, and backup coverage.

08Does someone track payer rule changes and update your process?

Changes should reach the people preparing and checking claims.

09Are payments checked against the amounts you expect?

An accepted claim can still be paid incorrectly.

10Do completed visits become claims within your practice’s target time?

Look for visits waiting on charges, notes, or review.

How this works: Yes adds 0 risk points, Not sure adds 1, and No adds 2. Scores of 0 to 3 are Healthy, 4 to 10 show Some leaks, and 11 to 20 mean Needs attention. Three or more No answers always mean Needs attention, even when the score is lower. This is a conversation starter, not a financial audit or a prediction of collections.
